You know you’re on to a loser when the barman rushes off to make you a martini without asking how you like it.
You know it’s getting worse when he moves the bottle of Noilly to get to to the Martini Bianco behind it.
And you know he has no bloody idea what he’s doing when you see him about to fill a measure with vermouth, and when he’s told you want it extra dry, he points to the words ‘extra dry’ on the bottle.
At least he used the correct glass.
